Welcome to Pine River-Backus Schools—where we take pride in providing a supportive, student-centered learning environment for every child. Whether you are a long-time resident or a new family joining our community, we’re excited to partner with you in helping every learner reach their full potential.

At PRB, our mission is to inspire learning and growth for all students through meaningful relationships, high expectations, and engaging opportunities. Our vision is to empower students to achieve success and contribute positively to their communities—today and into the future.

We offer a wide range of academic programs designed to meet diverse learner needs—from strong early learning foundations and innovative elementary experiences to rigorous college- and career-ready opportunities at the secondary level. Our dedicated staff work hard to ensure every student is challenged, supported, and celebrated.

Beyond the classroom, students can participate in a variety of extra- and co-curricular programs, including athletics, fine arts, leadership organizations, and clubs that help develop teamwork, confidence, and character.

We also recognize that families need flexible options to support their schedules. Our before- and after-school care programs provide safe, structured environments for students to learn, play, and grow outside of regular school hours.
