Immunizations
Are Your Kids Ready for School?
Minnesota Statutes Section 121A.15 requires children enrolled in a Minnesota school to be immunized against certain diseases, allowing for specified exemptions. All students are required to show proof of vaccination status or exemption status prior to the first day of school (see School Board Policy 530).
See the “Are your Kids Ready?” document for a list of required immunizations and specific information about exemptions. For combination vaccines, record the date for each disease/vaccine separately (A combination vaccine is when two or more vaccines are given in one injection).
How do I Find My Child's Immunization Records?
Parents can find their child’s immunization records by logging into the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. Click the menu icon in the top left and then go :
More > Health > Immunizations
From here you will see a list of the current immunizations according to school records (as shown in the screenshot below). The school updates its information as it receives it from parents and once annually from the MIIC. If you need additional assistance obtaining immunization records you can contact the Minnesota Immunization Information Connection (MIIC) at (651) 201-3980 or by requesting them from your medical provider.

Why am I getting Immunization Emails?
As stated above, your child is required by state law to be immunized AND have those immunizations reported to school.
In an effort to communicate any “out of compliance” situations, the school will notify you monthly if your child is not up to date on immunizations.
If you believe there has been an error or if you need to submit recent immunizations, please contact us at the info at the bottom of this page. (Updating your child as compliant in our system will mean you will no longer receive the out of compliance emails)
Medications
No medication will be accepted or administered in the school health clinic without the signed medication order on file from your child’s medical provider.
The order can either be hand delivered by the parent/guardian along with the medication, or the order can be sent to school by your child’s doctor, and the medication delivered at a later date. Medications will not be accepted or held in the clinic awaiting an order. It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to obtain the order from the clinic.
